PROCESS METALLURGY RESEARCH LAB

The PMRL group focuses on CFD modelling, transport phenomena, metallurgical thermodynamics and applies these principles to simulate various metallurgical process from steelmaking, continuous casting, metal refining, Ferro alloy production and air emissions from metallurgical furnaces.

The PMRL group is committed to generating original knowledge in the field of process metallurgy and apply fundamental principles for designing new processes, better understanding of existing process, operational improvements, and to perform ‘what if’ and ‘root cause’ analyses of industrial problems.
