In the process of continuous casting, the molten steel from steelmaking or refining is transformed into semifinished products such as billets, blooms, or slabs. The process has the advantages of considerable energy savings, minimal scrap production, improved labor productivity, improved steel quality, and reduced pollution. Therefore, it is important to study the fluctuation of the liquid level and optimize continuous casting mold flow. Water model and mathematic model were established depending on similar principles. The effect of the different process parameters, the speed, shape of nozzle, immersion depth of nozzle and mold width changes in crystallization on internal flow field will be studied to further optimize the continuous casting mold.
